The Air Jordan 28 “Locked and Loaded” is a special edition of the performance basketball shoe celebrating Ray Allen’s famous clutch 3-point shot during Game 6 of the 2013 NBA Finals. The shoe was part of the “Think 16” collection from 2018 that included numerous Nike and Converse sneakers that were on players’ feet during important performances and moments in NBA Playoffs history. The Jordan 28 was indeed on Allen’s feet for that game-tying shot that shifted the momentum of the series in the Miami Heat’s favor over the San Antonio Spurs. This colorway memorializes the moment, featuring a black upper with metallic gold accents and reflective dots across the shroud. When the shroud is folded down, a “9” and “5” are found on opposite sides of the interior to reference the game’s 95-95 score at the end of regulation. The Air Jordan 28 “Locked and Loaded” released in limited quantities on May 12, 2018.
